DESCRIPTION:Free Mental Health Virtual Conference\n\nCENTERED: Mentally finding your way in a "new norm" \n\n\n\nOn Friday\, April 3\, 2020\, Rwenshaun Miller\, astute mental health advocate\, will lead a mental health virtual conference to educate people on adapting to their new lifestyle due to the effects of COVID-19.  Globally we live in a profound moment of worry\, separation\, lack of social interaction\, job insecurity\, financial uncertainty and possible illness.  In recognition that we are all being impacted by this pandemic in varying capacities\, Miller wanted to build a platform to provide encouragement\, support and resources to sustain positive mental health.  Hence\, the conference title\, "CENTERED: Mentally finding your way in a "new norm." \n\n \n\nExpert mental health professionals will speak to be catalysts in effectively and holistically addressing mental health to promote wellness in a time that such can be forgotten.  This conference will include the opportunity for participants to have direct dialogue and discussion with the speakers throughout the agenda as the following issues are addressed: \n\n \n\n  Dr. Joy Harden Bradford\, Founder of Therapy for Black Girls\, will kick-off the conference with a discussion on the new role of teacher many parents have acquired with the school closures. \n\n   Omar Davis\, Creator of Wholly Men and Co-Founder of Crashbell\, will provide guidance on working with school-aged children with mental health challenges. \n\n   Bashea Williams\, Author of "Dear Future Wife\," will offer counsel on managing and surviving relationships with your significant other in a time of crises. \n\n   Nedra Glover Tawwab\, Founder of Kaleidoscope Counseling\, will speak to the impacts incurred in the entrepreneurship community.\n\n  Alicia Tetteh\, Owner of Building Endurance\, will share advice on managing grief amid crisis. \n\n   Dr. Anita Phillips\, Mental Health Advocate and Minister\, will leave attendees with a word on keeping faith despite the presented challenges.  \n\n \n\nWith society changing daily around us\, CENTERED attendees will gain knowledge and empowerment to focus on the positives and maintain healthy relationships.
