DESCRIPTION:Exit Strategies: Plan for the End Game \n\n	\n\n	Many business advisors recommend knowing what you want out of your business so that you can maximize your success. Like Stephen Covey said\, "Begin with the end in mind". This Chamber U is the last in our 2012-2013 season\, and focuses on how to think about the exit. We decided to make it extra special by doing a panel discussion with thought leaders in the area.\n\n	 \n\n	What you'll get from the session:\n\n	\n		\n			Real-world stories of what people have done\, including going public\n	\n	\n		\n			Considerations for exit strategies\n	\n	\n		\n			What to plan for during and after the exit\n	\n	\n		\n			How to plan for the best valuation at exit\n	\n\n\n	Panelists:\n\n	\n\n	Mike Shook built a business from nothing to $100 million+\, took it public\, and exited. He now works with growth-stage IT-related companies to help them scale.\n\n	\n\n	Debbie Jessee was in finance at Grady White Boats\, managed the Smith family office\, and handled investments for them as well as succession planning.\n\n	\n\n	Don Emmett is a business broker who guides people through the buying and selling process.\n\n	\n\n	Moderator:\n\n	Craig Mathews is a serial entrepreneur\, innovator\, adjunct professor of entrepreneurship at UNC\, and Chair of the Durham Chamber Small Business Council.\n\n	\n\n	We hope to see you there!
