We'll talk about how to move common functions to "Software as a Service" offerings such as Salesforce\, SugarCRM\, Quickbooks Online and Google Docs.  We'll talk about hosting custom software via Google AppEngine\, Heroku\, Amazon EC2 and Elastic Beanstalk.  We'll address the costs\, benefits and drawbacks in no-nonsense business terms\, compared to traditional IT expenditures.\n\n	\n\n	Presented by Andrew C. Oliver\n\n	Andrew C. Oliver is president and founder of Open Software Integrators\, D.B.A. Bull City Mobile\; a professional services firm and mobile application developer with offices in Durham\, N.C.\, and Chicago\, Ill. He started programming when he was 8 and is most known for founding the POI project\, which is now hosted at Apache. He also was one of the early developers at JBoss before it merged with Red Hat. He is a former board member and current contributor at the Open Source Initiative\; along with being a frequently featured writer at InfoWorld.com.
