SUMMARY:Morgan Imports' 50th Anniversary Celebration
DESCRIPTION:It's Morgan Imports' 50th Anniversary! \n\n \n\nCelebrate with them on Saturday\, November 2 from 1:00-6:00 p.m.\n\n\n\nAt 3:30 p.m.\, we'll pay a farewell tribute to Durham's infamous 11foot8 bridge (AKA the "Can Opener") as they raise the railroad track. Because of Gregson Street road closure\, parking will be tricky but not impossible. Limited street parking will be available on Peabody Street\, and in the surrounding blocks. A few extra turns and some advance planning will get you access to 6-story West Pettigrew Parking deck\, where ample spaces are available at no charge on the weekends. There will be detour signs posted to guide you and check our Facebook page for more updates on parking.\n\n\n\nAt 4:30 p.m. Mayor Steve Schewel and President and CEO Geoff Durham will make remarks on the importance of small businesses in creating the vibrant commercial network that makes the Bull City so attractive for residents and a destination for visitors. Special Guests of Honor will include distinguished family-owned businesses in Downtown Durham: Stone Brothers & Byrd (est. 1914)\, Public Hardware (est. 1924)\, Acme Plumbing (est. 1947) and Ward Furniture (est. 1948).\n\n\n\nWe hope to see you Saturday\, November 2!
