SUMMARY:The 2nd Annual Durham Bowls Food Fest
DESCRIPTION:The 2nd annual Durham Bowls Food Fest is Saturday\, October 12th from 3-6pm at The Scrap Exchange. \n\n \n\nTickets are only $6 for adults and $3 for kids\, and you should come hungry! Ten teams of local chefs and Durham Public Schools (DPS) nutrition professionals will offer samples of their new recipes for school lunch. All recipes feature local ingredients from Farmer Foodshare and will go on DPS lunch menus throughout the district! Ultimately\, this project aims to increase participation in school meal programs\, thereby increasing funding\, equity\, and deliciousness in school food. \n\n \n\nAt the Food Fest\, we'll also have iced tea from Jeddah's Tea\, the Durham Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Commission will be handing out free bike helmets for kids\, we'll have live music from Music Steve\, and lots more!\n\n \n\nPlease help us spread the word and get your tickets today!
