DESCRIPTION:PROJECT DESCRIPTION\n\n\nLeChase and SGS Contracting are hosting an MWBE outreach and information session for all construction industry-related firms (majority and minority) that have an interest in providing goods and/or services for this project.\n\n \n\n518 W. Morgan Street\, part of the Durham Innovation District held by Longfellow Real Estate Partners\, will consist of a new seven-story Lab/Office Building\, Core and Shell. The project totaling approximately 195\,000 SF\, will add to the existing Innovation District for future lab or office space on a prominent corner at the intersection of Morris and Morgan Street. The project will utilize an existing carriage house on the property to enhance the overall historic appeal of the building. With state-of-the-art fa ade systems and energy efficient mechanical\, electrical\, and plumbing systems\, the project will target LEED silver certification\, at a minimum. The project will be built on aggregate piers\, with spread footings\, a steel frame design\, with slab on deck concrete floors.
