Dimensions of Diversity
How would you describe yourself? How would the world describe you? Do those two things align? Do they change?
The diverse world in which we live is a composite of many cultures, values, and ways of interacting with each other. These composites are often described as dimensions of diversity. Dimensions of diversity include gender, religious beliefs, marital status, ethnicity, parental status, age, education, physical and mental ability, income, sexual orientation, occupation, and more.
Join us to hear from
Yo Sobha, Vice President, Equity and Inclusion at YMCA of the Triangle as he takes us through a Dimensions of Diversity workshop to examine our own thoughts, behaviors, experiences, and reactions and how to choose productive behaviors that create and support positive co-worker and other interpersonal relationships.
About Power of Inclusion
Organizations and institutions across the country are quickly realizing that diversity cannot be the end goal. Instead, we must develop safe, open, and inclusive environments for all to collaborate and co-exist. Through this event, you'll hear ways of how to foster honest and robust conversations surrounding multiple generations within a workforce and tips on how to be more generationally sensitive in a fast paced and ever-changing work environment.
