Ribbon Cutting - Caring House Bone Marrow Apartment
Caring House, Inc. and the Duke Cancer Institute, Division of Hematological Malignancies and Cellular Therapy, invite you to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 4:00 p.m.
The ribbon cutting and reception will celebrate the opening of a newly-renovated, private apartment specifically appointed to house patients undergoing Adult Bone Marrow Transplant (ABMT) treatment. Tours of Caring House and the ABMT apartment will be available.
Caring House provides patients at Duke Cancer Institute with peace of mind by providing affordable housing, a healing environment and a positive and supportive community. Features of Caring House include 18 private guest rooms with ensuite bathrooms, a large community kitchen, great room, library, laundry room, exercise equipment, a community garden, and a water garden with a koi pond.
The addition of the 1300 square foot Adult Bone Marrow Transplant (ABMT) apartment will allow Caring House to provide home-like services to a patient population requiring special accommodations.
Caring House is honored to partner with Duke Cancer Institute to provide world-class service to patients traveling to Durham for treatment.
