Ribbon Cutting - City Barbeque
City Barbeque, an award-winning barbeque joint built on a foundation of “low and slow” smoked meats, a wide variety of side dishes, delectable desserts, and a healthy dose of backyard hospitality, will open in Durham at 208 W. Hwy 54 on Sunday, May 22nd and will be holding a special Durham Chamber Ribbon Cutting and tasting at 10:45 a.m. Following the ribbon cutting ceremony guests will be able to sample a wide selection of smoked meats, including pulled pork, brisket, pulled chicken, St Louis- style ribs, sausage, the biggest smoked chickens you’ve ever seen, and its most recent 2014 nationally recognized award winning item – smoked turkey. Diners also won’t want to miss homemade warm peach cobbler, sweet corn pudding, hand-dipped hush puppies, baked beans with brisket, fresh cut fries, among many others.
The official grand opening for the new Durham City Barbeque will be held on Sunday, May 22nd from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Local entertainment and a Barbeque sauce competition will be enjoyed on Grand Opening day.
