Putting an extra bounce in your new workout can be challenging. But try a workout that burns more calories and wards off injury and it might be impossible. SkyZone, a new trampoline park in Durham has the solution. It’s called rebounding and it improves coordination and agility in a low impact form.
Research shows that 20 minutes of rebounding can have the same cardiovascular impact as 1 hour of running. Another perk of getting your bounce on? It’s a total-body workout. Exercising on an unstable surface like a trampoline or mini rebounder requires you to engage muscles throughout your whole body in order to stay balanced, which makes even regular exercises (like pushups) more challenging.
Skyzone in Durham will hold their grand opening on Sunday, Feb. 8 at 11:30 a.m. and is located at 127 Guess Road, suite 90. Check out their fitness offerings at www.skyzone.com/durham
