Are the current leadership methods and techniques as effective as they need to be? Or\, is a fundamentally different way of leading required to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing\, interdependent world?\n\nTransformation is hard and complex. It is easy to feel overwhelmed and confused by the immensity of the challenge and the volume of new information and techniques claiming to offer the answers. The goal of this event is to help you see the big picture and gain a full\, integrated understanding of leadership for transformation. What are the core capacities leaders need to tackle known problems as well as unanticipated challenges just on the horizon? What is the pathway forward from where and how we are now\, to where and who we need to be?\n\nThis conference is designed as a collective learning experience. The speakers\, all with significant depth in leadership\, culture change and transformation\, will serve as expert guides on this journey of mutual discovery. The MC for the event\, Paul Damiano\, will act as the chief navigator connecting the pieces throughout the day and helping us create a map to capture our shared learning.\n\nThe first speaker\, Carol Pearson\, provides the preparation and orientation necessary to understand and accept the magnitude of the challenge we are up against. She will also introduce and demystify the core capacities and practices that enable 21st century leadership\, equipping us with a framework to organize our learning throughout the day. Next up is Phil Dixon who will take on the challenge of using neuroscience to make sense of the brain's inner struggles with change. He will explore how to gain control over the brain's hidden impulses that trigger default reactions and keep us trapped in our needs for certainty and safety? Beth Gullette will help you see the leader's role in adaptive organizations as both a catalyst\, igniting others into action rather than directing them from above\, and as a sensemaker\, looking back from the future to discern a vision and purpose worthy of people's energy and commitment. She will engage the audience in practices that underpin these capabilities\, such as deep empathy\, social influence to build trustful networks of relationship across boundaries\, and multidimensional thinking.\n\nThe speaker segments pave the way for an interactive exercise to explore the role you can play in this transformation journey. How can we move beyond a static role definition of leaders and followers to a dynamic perspective of people in various roles at various times? Leadership for transformation requires all of us to step forward in different ways and strive to exceed our own expectations.\n\nTo close out the day\, we will create a visual representation of the day's adventure. Where are we now\, what have we learned about tackling the obstacles in front of us and how can we each move forward with intention\, clarity and confidence.\n\nPlease come join us April 2 for a day of insight\, inquiry and hopefully inspiration to guide your way forward as a leader for transformation. Register soon. Early bird registration ends February 28. \n\nContinental breakfast\, lunch and beverages are included.\n\n\n\nAbout our guides for the day:\n\n\n\nCarol S.
