The Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce and its Board of Directors cordially invite you to attend the 2012 Legislative Forum & Holiday Reception.
The Legislative Forum & Holiday Reception provides Chamber members and the community the opportunity to hear from Durham and the Triangle’s local, state and federal elected officials and thank them for supporting a positive business climate.
Additionally this year Brett Carter President of Duke Energy’s utility operations in North Carolina,will be speaking about Duke Energy's plans going forward after the merger with Progress Energy. Specifically, he will address what that means for the Triangle and the regional economic development opportunities it will create.
Brett Carter is the president of Duke Energy’s utility operations in North Carolina, serving approximately 3.2 million electric retail customers in the state. He is responsible for advancing the company's rate and regulatory initiatives and managing state and local regulatory and governmental relations, economic development and community affairs.
