Chamber U: How to build your own WordPress website

WordPress is an amazingly powerful Open Source blogging and Content Management System that can give even a shoe-string-start-up the opportunity to build a site with amazing functionality.  Over 4,000 free or low-cost "plug-ins" are available that will extend the functionality of a WordPress site in many, many directions.   Thousands of free or low-cost themes are also available that can go a long way in giving you an effective web presence.  And then when you're ready to build a custom site, it can look and do virtually anything you need it to do, while giving you an easy-to-live-with back-end administration area, where you can tend to your own content.  It's easy to find or replace a professional designer/developer well-versed with the platform.  Obsolescence is highly unlikely.
