About Ivan Hankins:
Hankins serves as the Senior Area Manager for the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) for northeastern North Carolina. His territory covers 34 counties in northeast North Carolina with his office located at Wake Tech Community College (Business and Industry Department) in Cary, North Carolina. In Hankins 39 years with SBA, he has served as Assistant District Director in charge of SBA financing and servicing commercial loans for the district offices of Phoenix and Tucson, Arizona; Honolulu, Hawaii; and San Diego, California, before coming to the Raleigh area in December 2003.
Hankins has his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Finance from West Virginia University. He has been the recipient of numerous SBA awards and honors in addition to the Minority Advocate Award for the State of Arizona for his work in promoting the assistance and expansion of minority entrepreneurship. Hobbies include restoration and collection of antique automobiles and golf. Hankins has also has served as past Chairman of the National Foster Parent Development Committee for the Casey Family Foundation in the states of California and Arizona.
