As with most events and conferences, our Take No Bull Women's Conference looks a little different this year. Each quarter, attendees will hear from women who have broken barriers across industries and sectors, with surprise keynotes and panelists, many of whom have helped paved the way for the ascension of women at the highest level of leadership in our country. Join us as we kick off our 2021 Take No Bull Women's Series on International Women's Day, Monday, March 8 at 12:00-1:00 p.m.

Our panelists will discuss “The Power We Don’t Know We Have.” Panelists include: Dr. Jeanine Abrams McLean, Vice President at Fair Count, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization in Georgia, founded by Stacey Abrams, and Kelli McLean Slade, Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Relias, where she coaches individuals on professional and personal development, building more diverse and inclusive environments and being intentional in efforts to build effective teams and organizations.

About the speakers:

Dr. Jeanine Abrams McLean is the Vice President at Fair Count, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization, founded by Stacey Abrams. The goal of Fair Count is to ensure that every person in Georgia and the nation is seen, heard, and counted for a fair and accurate census and to building pathways to continued civic participation, including voter education and redistricting. Jeanine is a highly skilled researcher with over 15 years of experience designing, managing, and implementing population-based studies and projects. While at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, she applied her expertise in computational biology and population research to advance public health initiatives. She has extensive project management experience as well as work in community organizing. In addition to her work in public health, she is passionate about finding creative ways to tackle community-based issues using both strategic planning and innovative ideas.

Kelli McLean Slade is a native of Durham, NC and proud graduate of North Carolina A&T State University. With 18+ years combined experience in both DEI and Workforce Development, she has worked in the Raleigh-Durham area with organizations to help close employment and training gaps and intentionally build and grow efforts surrounding diversity, equity and inclusion. She currently serves as Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Relias in Morrisville, NC. Kelli continues to coach individuals on professional and personal development, building more diverse and inclusive environments and being intentional in efforts to build effective teams and organizations.

Leslie Lillard Walden is Vice President, Regional Public Affairs for Fidelity Investments, one of the world’s largest financial services providers. She leads Fidelity’s government relations, community investing and civic efforts, on behalf more than 5,000 Fidelity associates in North Carolina, as well as South Carolina Tennessee and Virginia. Leslie has served Fidelity associates as a founding member for the Women’s Leadership Group and as regional executive for the Aspire Resource Group for African American and Latino employees, and for the Fidelity Young Professionals Network.
