About Steve Kelley:

Steve Kelley joined Cree as Chief Operating Officer in August, 2008. He is responsible for the Manufacturing, IT, R&D, Human Resources, Facilities, and Corporate Development groups. He is also responsible for managing the LED Chips business.
 
Steve was Vice President & General Manager at Texas Instruments (Dallas, TX) from July 2003 through July 2008. He led the Standard Linear and Logic Group (~$900M in annual sales) for 5 years, and the Military IC group (~$100M in annual sales) for 3 years.
 
Steve spent 10 years with Philips Semiconductors in progressively larger general management roles. His last two roles at Philips were SVP/GM of the Display IC business unit (a $500M+ business headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland) from 1999 to 2002, and SVP/GM of the North American Foundries Group (San Antonio, TX)  from 2002 to 2003.
 
Mr. Kelley received a SB ChE degree from MIT in 1984 and a JD degree from Santa Clara University in 1996.
