NC Legacy Awards to Honor Leaders in Faith, Government, and Community Across North Carolina

Durham, NC — The inaugural NC Legacy Awards, curated by Give It To The People, will take place on April 16, 2026, at 414 E. Main Street, Durham, NC 27701, bringing together influential leaders from across the state to celebrate impact, service, and leadership within North Carolina’s entrepreneurial and civic ecosystem.

This dynamic event will recognize a distinguished group of honorees whose work continues to shape communities and create pathways for economic growth and opportunity. Among those being honored are Former Governor Roy Cooper, Congresswoman Valerie Foushee, Judge Myra Griffin, Judge Doretta Walker, Durham County Commissioner Michelle Burton, Pastor Nathaniel Davis Jr. of The NOW Church, Pastor Ronald Godbee of The River Church. Their collective contributions span public service, faith leadership, economic development, and community advocacy.

The NC Legacy Awards is a convening of leaders, entrepreneurs, elected officials, and community stakeholders who understand that real progress happens when ecosystems work together. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect, celebrate, and align around shared goals that strengthen North Carolina’s business and leadership landscape.
