Chamber U: Intellectual Property Considerations
The presentation will cover the business and legal considerations of branding. The presentation will begin with the importance of building a brand to develop a business. Once a brand is established there are intellectual property considerations for all businesses. In addition, intellectual property assets are valuable assets often left on the table. This presentation will introduce the various types of intellectual property, including copyrights, trademarks and trade secrets, commonly found in business portfolios.

Bridget Welborn is an attorney with Ward and Smith. Her practice encompasses a broad range of business law matters. She assists clients with identifying, enforcing, and protecting their intellectual property rights, including trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
She also counsels clients on business formation; contract drafting and negotiation; settlement agreements; and the merger, acquisition, and sale of businesses. Her creditors' rights practice includes collections, lender liability, and bankruptcy.
